Courses we do at Paracademy

So you've decided you are interested in taking a course. Well whether you are a complete novice and you've never flown a kite in your life or you've been flying them since you could walk, you will find a lesson suited to you here.

You can see the various courses we offer in the navigation to the left. Click on a title or an image to find out more. If you are after a brief description about the different disciplines you can find out more below.

With all our courses, your equipment * and insurance is provided for the duration of the course.

* For snowkiting, kites will be provided however other snow equipment will need to be hired or bring your own. For water courses, a towel and some swimming clothes are all that are needed.

Kitesurfing

Take a big kite that has inflated sections in it so it doesn't sink when you crash it in the water, add a board - sort of like a wakeboard or surfboard - as well as some WIND and then go out into your chosen type of water be it waves or flat and you have kite surfing. Snow kiting

Everyone knows what snowboarding is these days so add a kite and off you go. Perfect for travelling back up hills if the wind is right or just going over flat surfaces. Not to mention that some of the world's best are jumping about 400 metres [we'll get you going first though shall we?]. Click here to find out more about snow kiting courses.

Parakarting

Technically not a board sport as you actually sit in a little steel buggy, kind of like a go-kart but with 3 wheels and no engine - oh also, no brakes! This is one of the sports that got us where we are today as these guys have been doing it for years. This is high speed adrenaline pumping action - Mad Max style. Power kiting

Learning to fly a power kite properly gives you the fundamental skills needed for any of the other disciplines as well as being loads of fun itself. Once mastered you can use the kite for traction to "scud" you over the field or beach or even use it to jump into the sky! Click here to find out more about power kite courses.

Land boarding

Okay so landboarding [or mountain boarding as it is also known] has been around for a while, but recently people have started using their landboards with kites. What's a landboard you ask? Just imagine a skateboard that is a bit bigger, more durable and one that you can ride over nearly any surface as well as on the pavement. Add a kite and you can go UPHILL as well as down.
